In response to questions from some media on how much the Government of Alberta has spent on advertising and other costs for COVID-19 and vaccine promotion, the following updated information has been made available:

In 2021-2022, government officials say about $ 12.1 million has been spent to date on advertising, research and other communication costs for COVID-19 and the promotion of vaccination. In 2020-21, the Government of Alberta spent approximately $ 14.8 million and $ 1.5 million in 2019-20.

Officials say there have been many phases of COVID and vaccination campaigns, each designed to keep Albertans up to date with the latest information on public health measures.
